The guitar is extremely sensitive to its load. The amp is not sensitive to its source. Once you've recorded the guitar, that resonant peak is already set. Now you just need to get that to the amp.
Mmmm not really...the resonant peak isn't "set" forever only within the recorded guitar track, because the resonant peak is in part derived from any complete circuit relationship of (whatever) is the source output impedance and amp's input impedance.
When you use a guitar as the original source...that's one relationship, one resonant peak....when you then use the line out as your new source for the amp, that's a different impedance relationship, and a different/new resonant peak that can be much higher and can still affect the tone of the amp.
Use your ears...forget the math.

Speaking of ears....
I've heard your "Lorenzo's Tractor stuff a couple of times....and not really looking to comment on the actual music style (your choice, enjoy it)...it's kinda obvious that you don't show a heck of a lot of concern for noise/hiss or tone coloration that might be caused by any gear connections or combinations....rather the music style seems to be more of an "as it falls" approach.
I don't say that negatively....rather that each music style has its sonic considerations, so a grunge band doesn't approach sonic integrity the same way that a jazz band would...etc...etc.
Maybe you don't see the need for proper DI/reamping boxes because to you and your music, it's just not that important....?
Anyway, we can just call it a stalemate at this point, it's all cool (no need to have the mods close this thread or infract anyone)...but if the mods want to close it, that's fine too.
You can continue stamping out "bullshit", and I'm sure most of the recording world will continue using DI/reamp boxes....so it's like a win/win.
