Trying a new recording setup, ditching the Pod , using Quilter Tone Block202 and my pedalboard

Have used Line6 stuff forever for recording. Decided to change it up and try something new . For this song I used:
guitar 1-2013 US Fender standard strt.
Amp - Quiter tb202
signal chain - strat- ehxstring9 - wampler dual fusion - boss super chorus -boss waza delay (dm2w).
also used a boss sy-1 and a boss mel 9 for tracks with strat.
guitar 2 solos - Epiphone IBG 59 les paul- cry bay wampler gear box -boss waza delay
Bass guitar-Squire classic 70s vibe P-Bass into EHX Battalion pre amp direct to board
Mixing board is a Presonus studiolive AR8c
DAW is reaper
Drum loops are drum drops shoegaze

Coincidentally the project I'm currently involved with tracked on a Presonus Studiolive board as well. Sonically it is solid. It's a little bit flaky though. It keeps "forgetting" settings.

This sounds clean, but some of your two buss settings need to be adjusted, I think. Listen to the nice whoomph of the kick as it opens. Then the bass comes in and the wump vanishes. Something is triggering that loss of lows. My guess is a limiter is nasalizing the sound as that low end kicks in and suddenly the bottom falls away.

The result is a clean midrange sounding presentation - and that's what this is. I'd figure out what's taking the creme out of your coffee.

I think a little more bottom would really punch the rest of this tune. Everything seems to be where it needs to be. Is the lead guitar a little left? I think it would work straight up the middle if not. I also think finding something to go at 9 and 3 would work really nice.

I think it's a neat recording - but I'm kinda of stuck on the density of the mix - I think I understand where you are going - I wanted more separation of the instruments - but then I listen to it again and I think I'm wrong.

Thanks, yes I have the lead guitar panned a bit left , agree it needs to be in the middle, I have a lot of options/ parts for panning so will experiment with some wider panning on some of the synth/ arpeggio guitar parts

I may have a bit of sonic clog in the mid-range, was really trying to avoid a low-end bass heavy mix. May have overcompensated a bit.

I dig the vibe here; you've got a cool Mixolydian sound happening and lots of little ear candy going on, which sounds nice. Some nice tones throughout.

My only nits are performance-related I guess. Two things:
1. Some of the little guitar constant-16th-note parts get a bit rushed here and there and kind of hurt the groove for a second.
2. A lot of the phrasing tends to begin on beat 1 and then end on beat 1 again, which tends to sound a tad square, IMO. I would love to hear the phrasing mixed up a bit more here and there.
