Can Home Studio Save As SMF?

Can someone tell me if Cakewalk's Home Studio series (2002, 2003, and the new 2004) can save files as Standard Midi Format Type 1 files? I'm assuming that it can but I need to know for sure.

I opened a midi file in HS2004 and hit save....as, and it showed:
Midi format 0
Midi format 1
RIFF Midi format 0
RIFF format 1

plus the normal, template, and c.w. bundle
