cables for mixer to digi001

I have this old mixer and i wanna use just as preamps and i think I'm gonna just run from the send on each channel but it bypasses the eq section but its OK!

I am really confused on what cables i need exactly and what to look for if i was gonna buy some??

TRS cables.

Not 1/4 inch.

They look very similar, but they are in fact different.

Again, TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) cables.

Huh???? 1/4" is the size of the plug, they can either be TS or TRS, but they are both 1/4" plugs.

also can i use trs were only ts cables are needed with no problems??

trs are balanced right??

no.
trs is a two conductor cable.
however, sometimes a balanced signal is sent down it. And TRS cables are the correct choice for doing that.
