Buying a gift but I'm clueless !

And also... I've contacted a couple of my band members and they are willing to chip in for the PA system and so I can go a little higher in price... This is what I have my eyes on for now... is it worth it?

this is the same P.A. I have, and I would definately recommend it! lots of inputs, lots of EQ options, plenty of power(aslong as you're only running vocals thru it). at first, I was a little sketchy, but it was a matter of necessity for an upcoming show where we had to have our own P.A.

if you do like we did, and have everyone pitch in about $200, you can get the P.A. plus a couple of floor monitors. it won't break the bank, and should meet all your needs for now

EDIT: we bought different speakers tho. some 15" Peavey something or other
 
Perfect! I'll probably be getting this with band approval, and some floor monitors later on :) Thanks for the input! Any other suggestions are welcome guys! :)

EDIT: Musician'sFriend won't ship it to my location... How can I get that somewhere else and quick?
EDIT2 : I called their hotline and they told me they could but I couldn't pay for it by Paypal if I did... Whatever as long as I get it XD

Ok there was a turn of events! I couldn't get that PA package that I wanted because they didn't ship it to Canada... So... I got these after multiple hours of research and testing in a local music shop :

Samson — Auro D412

Got 2 of these.... And the same microphone that I once said I'd buy, which is :

Any opinions on the Samsons and the table? I hope I made a right choice, the seller told me they were nearly the same as the Berhingers I was looking at, the Samsons were a little more expensive but he made a good deal for me and brought them down the same price as the Berhingers to accomodate me.
