I like it, listened to it the whole way through. Nice guitar work and harmony. It reminded me a lot of John Frusciante's solo work, especially his 2005 album 'Curtains'. It has that strong driving, building melody which I love to listen to.

In terms of lyrics (as this is a lyric thread) it's a good example of a song where the lyrics become more powerful because they're framed so well in the context of the music. You could say that "I'm no afraid of the dark" is a cliche, but it really doesn't matter when the song works well. I think the repetition of that phrase also strengthens your intention with it, by itself it might be deemed throw away or cliche, but as a hook, it stays with you and feels more potent.
