BR1600CD drum patterns

I've learned how to do the drum patterns, but I have not yet come upon the instructions for inserting those patterns to make a whole song. Is it part of the arrangement funtion?

Also, I'm assuming that if I hook up my dr770 drum machine with a midi cable to the br1600, that I will be able to sync the two units and basically use my dr 770 for the drums since I know how to use that drum unit better than the br1600. thanks for any help

Hey Radiohead,

Under “Programmable Rhythm” over on the right side of the unit, make sure you are in “Arrangement” mode (the red light will be on). Then hit the F4 button to select “Drums.” At this point, you should be able to scroll through the measures and add your patterns.

Hey Radiohead,
Boo,s spot on there. Just a step by step of how I approach the drums.

1.Push edit while the arrangenent light is off, then use the cursor buttons to scroll across to the drums P then pattern No.
2.Scroll thru the patterns and write down what I want to use, listen by pressing play.
3.Press exit.
4.Press arrangement so red light comes on.
5.Press edit.
6.Press F4.
7.Measure 1 should be highlighted.
8.Press cursor down and use Time/Value dial to scroll thru the patterns.
9.When pattern is selected scroll across to length and use Time/Value dial to select amount of measures.
10. Press cursor up which takes you back to measures, then scroll thru the measures until the next blank measure and repeat Steps 8-10.

Page 152 of the Manual will help.

This works for me, I hope this helps.
