Dear All,

I'm new here so I hope I won't be bugging you with such a basic question as mine. I have only recently started to record with the tascam porta 02, because we need a rough demo before we hit the studios. I managed ok-ish with four tracks but I need to learn to bounce tracks to be able to put more intsruments in there. On the manual I read something about plugging with a hi fi system or something but I don't have that facility at the rehearsal place. Is there any other way to bounce tracks?

Yo PaciKK:

Just a wild guess, but I don't think you need to plug your unit into anything to bounce tracks.

Your manual should tell you how or get a Tascam techie on line and ask.

It's usually a pretty straight-forward procedure to bounce.

Remember, when you bounce, say, three tracks to one track, you CAN NO LONGER TWEAK THE SEPARATELY BOUNCED TRACKS; you can tweak the track holding bouncies but they all get whatever you add, say eq or reverb.

Green Hornet:D :p
