Dude, that was cool!!! Great tone, and nice and clean. It is hold music.....yet I wouldn't mind being on hold if this was really playing...... :D

I just went with the current- evhwanabe's guitar work. And uh.. I don't think its hold music.

I think you guys will get a kick out of the quica:D

Actually, the hold music was simply a statement in reference to evhwanabe's saying he pictured himself in line at a store.....I wasn't trying to be mean, or make a deragatory comment....I was actually just having fun with him. Sorry if this seemd to be a demeaning comment. If you read further into my statement, I did mention that I wouldn't mind being on hold if they played this type of music, instead of what I generally hear.

I understood it as a joke, Dog. You gave him a compliment in the same post.

Tonio, I tried to listen but the clip said "CONNECTING" for about 10 minutes but never ended up connecting.

Tonio that's fantastic. Makes the rhythm section come to life (duh! :D ) I have a suggestion. Perhaps do a mix with apl's original backing track with yours added then post so everybody can solo over the combination.

Dogman, no prob dude. Just messing witcha :D Of course its not ROCK, but I know where you're coming from ;) You did have a complement in your statement. And I do like your version very much.
But I think so far evhwanabe's rendition is the best-not that I'm making any comparisons It just goes well with what APL furnished ya know
:D

RAMI- sorry man, my breifcase is a piece of chit- but mabe Tim hijacked it?:D Just kidding.

Tim-good idea. I need to get a better place to load my tuneages however. I do have an account @ soundclick, but it needs to be cleared first. Could you host the stream in the meantime?

Cool. And I agree...what he played fit very well, from a playing standpoint, and his tone. He also mixed it well......Very fun to listen to. It's just great to hear what people can do with something as simple as a pre-recorded track from a midi keyboard........Turns some ho-hum sounds into something worth listening to.... :D

OK I admit I'm an idiot. How do I add something to the track??? Do I take the original version in APL's first post, convert to a WAV, play over it and then convert it back to an MP3???

HELP ME!!!

Wow, evhwannabe, that's just beautiful.

So what did tonio do? Add some percussion? Hey, tonio, e-mail me an MP3 of the percussion track and I'll remix it.

You can set up a soundclick account, or use NL5's www.lightningmp3.com, too.

Yeah, most DAW software will let you import an MP3 as a track. Then add whatever you want, mix it down, make an MP3, and post a link.

Cool, I'm on it. But I don't use my PC to record, I have a stand alone unit. I'll have to convert and then import. No problem, thanx.

lol thanks guys! APL thanks for starting the rumble! I love these things.

I don't get a chance to do too many "clean" solos, so this was cool!

glad you guys liked it.

Timothy Lawler.........I dug yours man! very cool. nice job

Absolutely. If you do the mix and put it up in your online briefcase I'll get it, put it up on my server and post the link here. Or, if you email it to me it'd be even simpler.

Evhwanabe, thanks. This one was the easiest-to-produce rumble submission I've done. :D :D After hearing their combination I think apl and lbanks should really do some live playing as a duo. Your rumble was very well done. Sweet tone and lines. The slapback adds to the rhythmic effect.

OK, I attempted the bongos on this one. Keep in mind, I'm not a percussionist, and a real percussionist (Like Tonio) would probably laugh at this. It definitely sounds like a drummer trying to play the bongos. Anyway, I couldn't decide between laying back and accompanying, or soloing, so I think it came out as busy accompanying.

It's here...I didn't know how to make a direct link, so you have to go to the bottom of the page, it's the last song. APL's RUMBLE

RAMI, very cool sounds. They were almost blended in to the rythum......almost unnoticeable. (meaning, they didn't stand out a ton. ) I liked the way they fit. They just blended in, and filled up some empty space. Brought some real life to the backing track. Very good job on mixing them. Did you add any sort of effects to them in your workstation? The sound was very clean, and not rough around the edges. I seem to have trouble blending in sounds, without something sticking out like a sore thumb....

They were almost blended in to the rythum
...HAHA!!! I know what you meant, just a funny thing to tell a drummer...LOL!

I just put some reverb on them and barely eq-d them. I panned them abit to the right so as not to clash with the persussion that seemed to be coming more out of the left. The more I hear it now, though, the more I think they're too loud. Probably because my playing is making me cringe...Whatever, it was fun.

Sweeeet! Bangos have arrived in the mix. I like :D

I pulled out my trumpet to add a little flavor to the mix, but I absolutely cannot play right now... it's been years and my lips felt like they were on fire before the song was even over. Plus my mike doesn't like trumpet apparently.

I listened to my second mix again (underwater remix) this morning and don't know what I was thinking last night

Fun stuff everybody!!
