I want to record using my Micro BR and then transfer those recordings to my computer to mix on to a production software.

Can I record, say....a guitar track, convert it to a WAV file, transfer it to my computer and drop it into an empty track on the production software?

Is there a software that can accomplish this? If I have recorded 16 different tracks on my BR that make up the song and transferred all of those 16 WAV files to the computer, is there a software that I can open up 16 empty tracks and drop each WAV file into their respective tracks on one single song?

Thanks for any help you can give.

There are alot of software options for what you want to do.
Depending on the money you want to spend, and the amount of effects/plug-ins you wish to have at your disposal the sky is the limit.
However, if you have a fairly decent computer, and want to give it a basic shot for cheap you should download n-tracks, which is still free (I think...)
There is an entire forum dedicated to this just above this one.

You can actually rip any track right out of the MicroBR's .BR0 file to a .WAV using the program BR Explorer, and then using BR Explorer's wav converter. Then use something like Audicity to mix and master for example. Audicity is free as far as I know so probably pretty limited, but there are quite a few fully featured PC programs out there just depends on your budget.

So yes, it is possible.

I've done it with Reaper, Sonar and Cakewalk. Once the waves are in your computer, drag the waves over to the track view of whatever program. It my help to expand the track view a little first so you can drag the waves over to the far left of the track, otherwise they can land out of sync with the others.
