David, hehe. Thanks man! Clarksdale MS it is! Yah, man, I'd like to here that blues tune you're working on... Keep me posted.
gibs, hiya bro - thanks for listening... I'm thinking about redoing that solo in a bluesier, yet still dirty tone. I don't know if I want to change the way the riff is played though, I really like it... but the tone of it is really really dirty and thin (to me). I think Charles (up there in the post) suggested a more Stevie V. tone... I'll try

By the way, you are worthy, my friend... You're worthy and gosh-darnit buckaroo, people like you.
pglewis, thanks for listening, man and for the compliment. You're right, I was really trying to make the guitar and the vox blend. Remember that song called (I can't fully remember) but I think it was called "Masquerade". It was an old (not so old) R&B tune, I think. The singer did a really nice job of blending his little "bloody bloo's" in with the guitar... I failed on this and the majority of people have said it sounds more like I'm being muffled by a pillow (which no doubt would be my wife while I'm asleep...) When I redo the solo, I'm going to try the panning... thanks for the suggestion... I needed to fix it.
drstawl, you're welcome, hehe. Happy Birthday, man! Mine is today (May 24th)... I'm kinda confused as to what you were saying about the lead idea (?) Help me understand... (sorry - ignorance on my part takes hold of me) Thanks for listening, and again, Happy Birthday!
tutton, thank you thank you thank you. The encouragement is wonderful. Wow, a Robert Cray reference. Man, I used to listen to Robert Cray when I was about 10 or 12 years old I think. He had these two songs that were really topping the charts back then (what were the names of those songs?)... Nah, I'm not African American. I'm actually Filipino (Phillipines) - "Asian" I guess is the Politically Correct term (?). Both my parents are Filipino, but I was born in D.C. and lived around here all my life. So are you saying you liked the solo in "Darker Shade..."? Which one, the first one or the second? Thanks again for the encouragement, input, and just for listening.
