Title says it all! I'm about to begin a cap job on a Peavey VTX MX series head, and was wondering what the best site for buying decent caps is. I'm thinking about picking up some Spragues for this one but can't seem to find any suppliers that don't look shady as hell.

I've been buying them from Mouser. Sprague Atom's are getting more expensive and harder to come by, but Mouser still has them listed. I'm using Illinois caps in my current project, and I have them in one of my old Fenders, and they are fine at generally less then half the price of Spragues.

i've used orange drops and all the variants but think it's bullshit for the most part... mostly now i use panasonic poly's from digikey...

I use Digikey mostly because I use them for everything at work (R&D Design/Testing) Great prices, excellent web ordering and great stock.

Yeah, but for electrolytic caps, they don't do it. I always use the Panasonics for my film caps though. Hell, I use them in my guitars.
