A couple of months ago I had some extra cash and sank it into a couple of Behringer units. I got a T-1951 Tube EQ and a T-1954(?) Ultrafex.
So far i've used them once, and was surprised by the results, but I did another session without them, and could barely hear any difference.
I know the EQ is pretty stunning for its price, but I don't know if I'm using the Ultrafex right.
What I'd like to know is, has anyone else used these, and are they capable of polishing up a good mix, properly used of course?
If so, what's the best way to use them? I got 'em for my home studio (which is crap right now) which was a month before I collaborated with a friend on his Pro Tools studio. With Pro Tools, I don't really need these things, but I might one day use them at home if I can afford studio essentials, such as a mixer.
Anyone have any suggestions? Should I keep 'em closed up in the rack or hock 'em on e-bay?
