Ok, for the record... you were one of the ones I was thinking about when I posted the above comment... but now that I understand where your comming from... I stand corrected. Thanksausrock said:QUOTE............."Because I think there are some people on this bbs who want to cover up the possible fact that the Behringer B5 and Studio Projects C4 are pretty much the same mic... and I think some are posting pictures of other mics that aren't anything like the B5 or C4 as a smoke screen.
Just for the record seeing has I posted pics of other mics.............I have no doubt that the Behri B5 is a knock-off of the C4 and probably has similar pcb design, etc., and if it was possible for me to get the mics I would have already photographed them and posted pics. I DON'T have any vested interest in hiding any facts. I DO own 4 SP mics plus a couple of 603's..........the reason being that SP were the first decent affordable LD mic available out here. MXL and ADK didn't surface till sometime later.
For my part, posting pics of mics other than the B5 and C4 is only in the interest of broadening the discussion.

and you never said you ever did anything more than just hang out with them... no wonder I couldn't find your name listed in the credits. Sorry, my mistake.
Like so many of your other "mistakes", you're wrong on this too. I was the principal designer of the Acoustic Control amps, which were used by the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Big Brother, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, Mike Bloomfield, and Albert King. No, they didn't credit me as the designer of the amps they used on their albums, but I knew them all on, and off, stage and I considered them as friends, who I hung out with from time to time. While I was in Sweetwater, we also opened for the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Big Brother, and Frank Zappa's Mothers. Stephen Paul, I've known for many years and he was a dear friend.
DJL, I'm almost 67 years old, I still smoke about 3 packs a day, and I figure I've got maybe another 6 years to live, if I'm lucky. Frankly, arguing with you is not a very productive use of my time left on earth, so I've said everything I'm gonna say about your "agenda" and I'll avoid your crap posts from now on. As I said before, "I've had a good life; you need to get one".

Whatever works for you. It's the same old BS time an time again with you. Whenever your premise is invalidated, you resort to ad-hominem attacks on the questioner. <snip>
crazydoc said:This is all still just idle speculation without actually comparing the mics, both sonically and electronically. Can't someone with each mic post at least a photo of the circuit board?
Oh yeah, and to help people like you run their post count up on Fridays.ausrock said:QUOTE........."my "agenda" here (as you call it) is to learn about mics... learning how they work, what their made out of, how to make them, take them appart, fix them, make mods, learn about better mic electronics, capsules and etc,"
Aren't you forgetting the rest of it DJL?

Actually, it looks identical to the MXL 600, which has the same top slotted grille. The 603 does't have the same top grille.Marik said:<which mics most closely resemble it?>
