what's the point in having monitors with more bass if they sound crap?

Beats hearing nothing at all. At least with my 'crap' I know what it'll sound like later. If I wanted to hear nothing, I wouldn't buy monitors at all. Learn to translate, you gotta do that with any monitors.

Hey man didn't mean to offend you every man loves his monitors when he gets good results.. Which ones do you own by the way for the sake of the OP?
And yes it does take some translation but not much if they are good monitors, I had the Alesis Monitor one MKII Passives and way to much translation was needed with those my mixes would come out very dull because the monitors were very bright. I like the theory that goes with the Yamaha NS10's "if you can get it sounding good on those it'll sound good on anything" lol...

no offense taken, its all good.. I have the b2031a's, 8", with the 2092a sub. It's supposed to be crossed over exactly right to go with the monitors, etc.. So I'm into em for about $500, they're loud and they pound. I'd be impressed if someone could beat the sound for the $. I think Behry gets bashed a lot more than they deserve, and quite a bit of the time by ppl who never owned any, just parrot'ing what they hear. Kinda irks my ass, that's all.. My whole studio is full of cheap shit, but it does the job.

Yeh it does get bashed for no reason around here. I am usually the first one to defend behringer, and I also own loads of cheap stuff in my studio, but I have recently starting realising that some stuff would be so much easier to achieve with slightly higher end stuff.. My nano verb and nano compressor are letting me down and I know a cheap TC unit would give me so much more...

I just bought the TRUTH B1030A's for $200, which I got instead of M1 Active's or PM0.4's. Since I went up $50 on my budget I am extremely happy. With proper settings, and setup, these babys blow my mind!
I actually spent $320 and got my home studio! $119 on UX2 and $200 on the B1030A's!

Anyways, after I bought them people told me I am dumb, and I should of got RP's, but I honestly can't say the RP's would be worth the extra $100, especially since I didn't have the full $200 in the first place!

I have used them and they work very nice, I have been listening to Aphex Twin, and I can hear every last note clear as water, even though his sounds are extremely difficult to match and recreate!

If you not a recording engineer like me, then I think any of them will work. But if your professionally recording music like everybody else, then maybe you spend you life savings and get some JBL's!

Because Darrin's hatred of Behringer is legendary.
That's not the kind of stuff legends are made of.
Just a stupid, ignorant comment from someone who has never used the product.
Well worth ignoring.
