I hope you find it at least mildly entertaining.

If I Fell

Don

I was very entertained! You did a good job of a lot of the Len/McCart
voice affectations. If you're going after an exact copy, tribute version,
I'd say slur John a little more. He's too precise.

The one place I particularly like is at
"...hurt my pride like___her". You guys copied the timing
difference that Paul and John did on the orig pretty freakin
exact.

I picture teen girls screaming at Shea Stadium!

You Played on Lawrence Welk?
Yes but no blue notes. Just blue hairs.

This is me doing Flying. Note that I don't sing (hence why I picked this song), and just learning guitar and only fiddled with the bass, so bear in mind the musicianship.

*achoo* Man I hate it when I sneeze up old text :P

I was actually trying hard not to make it a simple mimic of the original. But the original is practically burned into my brain -- it's hard for me to do anything different.

Glad you enjoyed it, anyway!

Think about this...

There have been 37 different people who have posted songs to this thread.

There are 133 links to 85 different songs.

There were only 22 songs covered more than once.

This is from a group which has only 210 songs in thier catelogue and lasted only 7 and a half years...

and they disbanded 37 YEARS AGO

Something very special goin on with this music, eh?

I always loved this tune, and yours is an excellent rendition. Great job :)

I love stats

A (not very) long, winding song:

I tried to go off the leash a bit this time. How'd I do?

Very nice. Solid arrangement, vocal's really well in tune and has a good feel.

I had a blast playing (tracking, heh) guitar along with it. Would you mind if I posted a mix with a nylon string guitar line added doing fills between the vocal phrases?

Like I'd mind inheriting a wad of cash from a rich uncle I'd never heard of. Go for it!

Don

edit: Could you possibly send me a .wav of the nylon string part, if it's not too much trouble?

Thanks for taking the time to listen.
I listened to a few of the last posts, michaelst great version of Penny Lane probably my favorite McCartney tune. DonF the vocals seem perfect to my ears on the Long Winding Road, a pleasure to listen to.
We all have a nerve...no? :)
