Bass-Slide RUMBLE!!!

And PLEASE!!!!... don't leave me rumbling here on my own!! :D

(I'm probably just paranoid but I think I've seen threads recently sink like an anvil after my participation! :eek: )

THE DEAL:

A song, yours or a cover, preferably yours ofcourse.
MUST have bass, played with a SLIDE.
at least 50% of the whole song!.. one solo won't cut it. :cool:

Additional instrumentation is up to the participant.
style and tempo up to the participant.

..But the bass MUST remain audible!!! :eek: :D

ROCK OUT!!!!!!!!!

I composed mine today, Ill get my recorder tomorrow and record it. :D
 
Man, if i can get my hands on a slide i'll do it.
 
Interesting concept. Got no slide though :mad: Lent it out and it never came back.

bitchen!! i just found my slide and have been looking for an excuse to record some bass......kinda been on an indefinite breake from playing......don't know why....but i'm IN!
 
No slide is no excuse!!
Go to yer basement and saw a piece of 3/4" pipe out of the plumbing!! :D :eek:
 
Copper piping sounds sweet on electric guitar, so I'm sure the results would be the same on bass.
 
haha i will second the notion that 'no slide' is no excuse. John butler played an entire gig using the neck of a corona bottle as a slide :)

No Bass ;)
 
Well I'm ok with a bic lighter on guitar, gut I don't know if it's heavey enough for a bass? I'll put on the thinking cap.

heres my thing.....all slide on bass and added a guitar track for giggles

turtlishous - awesome, I just bought a new slide today, coming up here I may be able to get something uploaded that will contend if time allows... you definitely took a direction close what I would do. DAMN I can't wait to do this.

Very primus-ish experimental coolness, nice punch in the recording, too.

thats weird?....it worked fine when i first put it up now....nothin'....i'll repost it.

Nice track! you used some kinda fuzz in that bass?..

I've been experimenting with a sound I usually use for guitat solos, heavy distortion and chorus. :D
Or just an overdrive..

Got my recorder back yesterday but had to mix and upload the practises, but I'll be recording today after work. Mine'll be somewhat on the heavy-rock side... :eek:

I actually play slide on my bass live some times. its fun to dink with. count me in. im callin up my cuz and we'll pump a track out for ya. :)

So, I had my recorder, bass, slide... and ONE single damn cable!... So, there goes effects down the drain!!!!.... :o

Really wanted this done TODAY, so....
Instead of a heavy, distorted piece of Rock, You're getting overspeeded-ominous-semi-hawaijian-country.... :D

There was some weird hissing noise on the background, so I added waves to hide them, hence the Hawai... :eek: :D :D




...it's easier to be somewhat in the same note with two tracks than I thought!!!... :eek: :o
