Hey--I have a crud bass in which a black wire has popped off of the tone knob. I'm trying to figure out if anyone knows an online site to research repairing it. Is a simple break but I wasn't sure exactly where it should be soldered. That and the acutual tone knob(insided the guitar) is loose and doesn't seem to be held tightly by any medium.

Anyone know of a good resource.

Just solder the wire back on to the casing of the pot and tighten the nut.

under a bright light and using reading glasses you can probably tell where the wire was soldered. You can trial and error it by touching it to the case of the potentiometer and check to see if the tone knob is working while you touch it there.

There should be a nut on the outside of the guitar around the shaft of the pot. You'll need to remove the knob from the shaft to get to it. Thats where its tightened.
