Hi,
I just wanted to run by you guys what I plan on using as sort of a starter kit for my home recording...
My PC is a AMD Barton 3000 , 1gig ddr ram, 200gig HD space etc.
Im using the m-audio omni studio(pci version)
I want to use a program like gigastudio for orchestral arrangements, along with an oxygen 8 (m-audio) midi keyboard.
Of course I also want to use Cubase SX 2.0.
Ive never done home recording and am really finding it difficult to grasp what is being said about a lot of the technical side of things that I have read. Like i said I just want a basic set up to start. I also want some sort of drum program I can just use easily with the stuff Ive mentioned above. Im a real fan of progressive metal.. so im thinking along those lines for sound and so forth.
Any suggestions where Im a beginner?
