man that was a pretty harsh comment to make towards someones work. i don't have the experienced ears to critique compression, dynamic sound, and equalization like most people here. i have been pursuing this passion for only a year now. i have been listening to music all of my life so i do know (good) music when i hear it, especially jazz(being from new orleans). so lighten up a little on the way you criticize peoples dreams. i don't get offended when people tell me not to buy expensive gear because i understand what they mean. if you can get buy off of what you can afford, and still want to be in the recording buisness. then get that good stuff and be amazed at what you can really do. some people have to crawl before they can walk. getting all of this expensive gear and no knowing what to do with it is the reason some people end up selling it at a fraction of the cost, and losing big money. in other cases cheap gear may destroy someones passion, but the fact of the matter is, music is music. if i had to chose from being a cold person with professional ears, and a thoughtful person who is nieve to engineering, i would stay nieve. i'm not trying to be a moron, i'm just trying to be truthful. i felt the compassion in that composition. enough said....
