My ATR-1 used to work fine, I never had any trouble with it. It remained "on" continously in my rack over several years. Now I wanted to use it again after a short while, and I've got a problem:

The ATR gets an input signal, the signal level meter works - and I get an output signal that I can hear over my monitor system. I guess something within the ATR seems to work, because when I listen to "original" signal and "ATR-signal", I hear a kind of phase shift, like a slight chorus... But the pitch correction does not work anymore, even the pitch change meter does not react. It seems to me that the ATR is switched "Bypass" all the time, even if the bypass-button is not pressed and the bypass-LED is not lighted.

Any suggestions?

Any way to perform a hard reset on the unit and bring it back to factory defaults... you power up device while simultanoiusly holding a combination of keys... sounds more like a firmware than hardware problem.

No, there is no reset function. :( This unit even has no power-switch - it is meant to stay in stand-by all the time. Hope the Antares' guys can help. Perhaps they should equip their units with power switches to avoid problems. Greets from Germany... :)

Good luck with tech support... If you don't hear from them soon... try powering down the unit, opening it up, and seeing if there's a battery you can pull to clear the memory... leave the battery out for a couple hours... there's often circuitry that will hold a charge after the battery's removed.

Depending on warrenty status...
