OK. I already asked one comparison question, but I guess I'll have to ask another one. Any experience with a Midiman Delta 1010 as opposed to the Aark 24? They are both about the same price, but I'd like to hear some comments on either or both. Thanks.

Hello TheFish,
I purchased a delta 1010 a few months ago from a store in town, and had some problems with the power supply. After calling them and asking for a new one, they sent me everything but the power supply, and I had to go through it again. It was pretty frustrating, glad I got it from a supplier, as they helped me more than midiman. They do seem to have a good reputation, however, and maybe I just had some bad luck.
I did get it going, had to download their newer NT drivers to work with ntracks, but it seems to working good now. Sounds really good. The ins and outs are on the back on a rack mount box, but I don't need to touch them, since I'm using a mixer and just leave everything the way it is.
I am having a problem figuring out how to send recorded tracks out of the delta and into my mixer so that they will only be on one mono track and not two,(the manual says you just have to pan left for the track coming out of output 1, pan right for the track coming out of output 2 etc.) but I'll just have to keep learning about it. Its my first card, and I'm new to this stuff, so its all learning for me.
I wish I could have tried the aark24 myself, but I really can't complain too much about the delta, because like I said, other than the power supply thing, I'm sure its just my inexperience with soundcards that is limiting me.
Good luck with it all.

Thanks, man. I'm new to all this stuff, too. I think I may just go for the Aark 24 though. I just get nervous spending all that money on something that I'm dissatisfied with. Oh well, I can always send it back.
