Am starting a Music Production and Sound Design college. What mic should I choose?

I do not have a high budget and also does not want to invest to much into microphones since I'm doing EDM now a days.
But if I'm looking for a microphone for about 100 $ each, what microphone should I go for?

What equipment does your school provide you to work with? You'll probably want mics that complement what they have you using.
