I have some old equipment that I want to update and add vocals etc to and not have to re-record everything. I have a MMT-8 that I want to take the tracks from and put into my Cakewalk Home studio 2002. I can record live instruments etc, but I can't seem to get my midi tracks to record and playback. I see the tracks on the screen(1-8 tracks) but they seem to only run for 8 bars, and I know the tracks are longer than that.
I used Cakewalk to assign the correct midi channels to correspond to the MMT-8 tracks, but NOTHING! I've recorded midi tracks using Cakewalk, but some where I'm missing something. Do I have to Bulk dump and then ungroup everything back to the individual songs, is it something I'm missing with system exclusive,
will it not work with the older technology of the MMT-8.

Second, I also have the HR16, that I want to do the same. Record it in Midi, separate each track so that I can change sounds.

Please don't tell me that all that work was all for nothin'.
