!! swtiching to the MME is all i needed to do..lol

the funny thing is..before i posted..i read other topics about troubles people were having, and someone suggested the MME. I tried it, and when i reopened cakewalk it froze (tried again and again like10 times..lol) so i figured that my driver wasn't card wasn't compatible with MME or something

Anyways..this time i tried it, and it worked..thankyou!!!!

Actually it was Toki who first suggested that. I only echoed it.

It's a bit of a mystery to me why you can't record using WDM drivers - but the WDM drivers seem to be at the root of many mysterious problems.

Oh well, glad you got it working.

Your welcome guy, we all work together at fixing things and learning here. The experienced wizards down to the ones that accidently landed here in a search engine, everybody has a good attitude about helping others out. And everyone at some time can offer experienced advice about something. Once when i was selling boiled peanuts...excuse me, I cant tell that story here

Of course we post no disclaimer on the many routes we may take to arrive at a solution to the problem. It`s kinda like taking your car to the school automotive department for a skip in the idle. It may come back a few days later with tinted windows, and English dashboard with wheel on right side, and it may not look like like your car at all when you get it back, but it won`t have no skip in the idle.
