I just got finished learning/experimenting with splits and volume adjustments after double clicking on the part (sorry if my lingo is wrong). That worked for me but I kept tinkering and screwed the part up. When double clicking on the part in Cubase 6, I could see my punches below the original track. I deleted some original takes and moved the punches into the holes.... I know, not necessary. Just playing. I planned on re-recording that part anyway. I'm going to look at the lanes feature now. Man, there's so much I don't know!
