I'd laugh if I thought that was a joke!

You know the rule Henry. Nothing smaller than the elbow goes in the ear!!!
Cheers for that. I'll let you know how we go.
Nice song - busy melody to spring from a simple arrangement.
Quiet is fine - mastering'll address that in a good way.
Well done!
Wallet of change - that's funny - cool!
Sounds swell to me! Very professional. The soft padding vocals are great when they come in on the 2nd chorus... Just the perfect volume to intrigue.
With this kind of open, honest music, I don't think you need to, or would want to, sound any more "produced".
And to the reviewer who felt the singer was "holding back": Sometimes, less is more. Cheers, Ander
Henry; we used the new ribbon on vocals. The reslo with the transformer from xaudia.
I had an sm7b up there as well just incase high end was lacking but it didn't really get used in the end.
Guitar was the same preamps with the two oktava mk219s.
All done in a bedroom, no room treatment and hifi speakers up until the final mixing stages.
Preamps were the built ins on a presonus firestudio mobile believe it or not! Couldn't be happier with that wee yoke.
HA! See ... A fine example and testimony for the fact that it's truly the person at the helm and not the ship or the weather.
Great job Paul.
Liking that Reslo!
Thanks for that Henry.
First video went live tonight at Pete Gardiner Music holding page.
It's got the mastered audio over it.
