shailat,

Hey where you been man? Busy I bet.

Yeah now that I'm 24bit I'm sort of starting over. Everything sounds so much better.

That mp3 I sent ya with the bass problem was recorded direct into my PC no pre no direct. My problem then was bass crapping out boomboxes but volume levels was no problem at 16bit. I haven't gotten to a final mix yet just getting started.

Good to see ya,

Rusty K

Rusty,

Sorry about that...... I seem to have some problems with my decoder. Every time I decode your mp3 to wav I get an empty wav file...... I might have to download it again.
If you still want me to take a look at it then post the link again.
If not then I owe you one.

I was just pointing out that it is possible to record some basses
direct to line input but it does sound (like others have pointed out) to be a -10, +4 problem.

Going from SB to Lynx is a serious improvment. Enjoy it !.

shailat,

No problem...but I will hold you to that" I owe you one". Actually I dumped all the stuff I had already done, not that much really. I had been working on a couple of songs over and over just to get my recording "chops" up. The difference in card quality just made me want to start over from scratch.

So stay in touch. Actually I was hoping my song would inspire you to add a B3 track to it so I'll send it along for a listen when I have something.

Take care,

Rusty K

Sure send me the link to the song when you want.
If I have the real B3 up in the studio I'll do it on the real thing.
Leslie and all.....

shailat,

Cool! It's a simple little ditty just meant to be a fun dance tune and actually my first R&B endeavour. It's written for my band to perform eventually. Our keyboardist is actually a great harp player who picked up the keys to augment the band. I don't expect a commitment on your part if the tune doesn't move you. In any case I'll send it along to you for a critique when it's ready.

Much thanks,

Rusty K
