Yeah, some people are easily impressed and have low expectations, thus they never try and experiment with other options to add diversity.

I meant that when people use a speaker as a kick mic they tend to use the speaker from an NS-10.
This has been done for decades, it is neither new nor weird.

I don't know if a noisy old 15" will do the job, but a good 8" or 10" works well for kick drums or floor toms. Be sure to put some foam or other padding under them or you will get a lot of floor noise.

Wow. some of you broads sure are sensitive.

Anyway, I tried it. Sounded like poo. I want to try a smaller speaker, like a 8 or 10, as someone suggested.

And I do have kick mic's(D112 and e602) Just like to try new things.

Peace.

I think it's cool to experiment. At least it will give a unique sound to it.

I remember playing radio with my little brother and shooting into a speaker and record that. Those where the days...

I've read about this but never tried it. I think it's time I give it a shot.

Also, can we not use "gay" in place of "stupid"... it's just not right.

gay:

1) Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry.
2) Bright or lively, especially in color: a gay, sunny room.
3) Given to social pleasures.

So, yeah ..... I guess using a speaker as a mic could be a gay experience.
