It's frustrating to be in the middle of a work week and completely UNable to try out some of the suggestions made here.
KRAMER - what an incredibly nice post from you. I sincerely appreciate it, a lot. Please play piano on it...now.
jjtcorsair - you definitely know how to set a mood, that's for sure. Although it didn't seem to bug ya' too much, I'll see what I can do about the rice crispies as soon as I can. Your comment about the songwriters' forum was flattering. Maybe, the next time someone asks for input on a death song, I'll have this.

- Thanks, Mr. Title.
mixmkr - thanks for plowing through it...I'm pulling one of the acoustics out on the next version...there really aren't too many instruments...the problem is that I didn't play the ones I used with much accuracy, so the timing problems make it sound too busy. If somebody doesn't offer to put some strings on this pretty quick, I'm gonna' be stuck with that damned electric git, too. The "bass" on this tune is an acoustic one, and whenever I turn it up, it makes the whole mix really muddy. EQ TIPS ANYONE?
mmm- yeah, the vocal has some dropouts in it, and I didn't run it by my daughter for the old "can you hear every single word" test that I usually do. I'll fix 'em. There actually is a basss (barely) in there, but when I bring it up, it makes mud out of the entire mix, so I've got some work to do, apparently. Thanks a ton for listening.
boydrj- again? You listened again? What are you, nuts?!?! - Thanks, I've got some percussion in the works, and I may re-post it once all the warts and giggles are fixed. I appreciate your time, as always.
Okay, I can't fix anything for at least 2 days, so keep the tips coming...expecially EQ tips to help me turn up the bass without muddying it up completely.
t.y.,
chris
