On Thursday, after a very satisfying evening of working with my music, I decided to "clean up" my system and move things around. I got the usual "are you sure you want to do this?" messages, but went ahead and finished my clean-up. Uh Oh!
When I turned on my system this morning to work with some other songs, I found that I was only getting audio on two or three tracks -- no matter what song I tried to play. It sounds like I'm soloing tracks or muting others.
To top it off, every time I try to go to a new song, I get the following message in a box "DAE was unable to communicate with the audio hardware. Please save your session and restart your computer. (-6028)"
I've done nothing with any hardware but check the connections -- as suggested by the troubleshooting chapter in the reference guide. I've also tried to troubleshoot on the AVID/ProTools site, as well as on this and other sites, but to no avail.
Again, I am using a Mix Plus system running through an 888/24 interface. My work, however, is at a standstill until I get this problem resolved.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
