alright guys, my band will be recording our next album at my humble home recording studio, and i figured i'd do a pre-recording test to try out all of my equipment to its full potential. its a quick drum test with 5 very very random guitar parts added after the fact, and i tried to keep it as cliche "emocore" as possible (theres so many bands like that in the cleveland area, might as well get used to it). keep in mind that this is my first actual attempt at recording anything besides solo vocals/guitars with the occasional drums... light indie stuff. the toms are lacking, as i did a four mic setup, and there is no bass, i am mainly just looking for tips on the kick/snare/overall balance. equipment used:
snare mic: e609
kick: at pro-25
overheads: 2 mxl v67's
audio interface: beh ada8000 > terratec
software: sonar 4.0 pro
guitar: epiphone les paul
amp: pod direct (jcm and recto models)
