I also mix at a relatively low level (peaks at around 80db on my meter) which may reduce the amount of room influence.
 
No problem. Typically, I'm a bit of a stickler for specificity myself -- But in this case, I'm surprised anyone would assume anything other than dBSPL in the first place just going with the content of the message.
