a few questions about cleaning ect...

i just bought one of those "handy cassette head cleaners"
then i read the cleaning section in on the site and about shot myself
i was wondering if i could still use the head cleaner that came with it and clean with a swab, and then buy some rubber cleaner for the pinch roller?

then i was wondering if it is better to get one of those "demagnetizing cassette" things like the one i found here:

or go with the demagnetizing gun thing (i really dont know my terms)

Magnetism on a cassette deck head is far less a problem than most people think....

Proper cleaning is far more important. Throw away the "cleaning cassette" - it's junk...

Get yourself some pure Isopropyl Alcohol (at least 90% pure - NOT rubbing alcohol) and clean the heads and capstan using a lightly-dampened cotton swab.

Then get yourself some rubber cleaner and a lint-free cloth and use it to clean the pinch roller.
