$700 budget - New or used kit- Suggestions?

Mapex does have some good kits and fairly decent prices but you don't see many big name drummers playing Mapex sets nor do u see them in the studio that much, now that being said, i'm not dissing Mapex at all i'm just saying pdp pacific is a better name to many and have better sounding kits- in my oppion - ...although if you wanted to go that route here are some links i dug up lol >

i would suggest moving up to atleast the xs http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Drums/Percussion/Cymbals?sku=446764X here is a blem for 300 (way better than b8 IMO)
really though i would suggest piecing together used cymbals on ebay for 300 bucks you are looking at atleast a if not a custom or higher (i got my 13" kz hats -with the special order only brilliant finish top- for 140 on ebay and they were absolutely flawless)there are awsome deals on ebay so be careful when buying since they are used but you will get the best for you re money that way

used cymbals are the way to go if you cannot afford new Z Customs, but who among us can lol- but i would just try to take that 200-300 and piece together some A customs on ebay...
