I'm replacing all the electrics in an Epiphone Les Paul Custom. It's a great guitar with a great neck, but the electrics, including the pickups, are substandard. I use it for clean, with distortion very rarely. For the single coil sound, I just use an American Tele, so I'm not looking for single coil pickups. I'm familiar with the classic 57's, and I don't have a problem with them. I'd like to keep the guitar's appearance, with the gold pickup covers. The only real choices seem to be the classic 57's, and the humbursters. What does anybody know about them? They are a bit pricey, and I've never heard them. Remember, I don't need a distortion pickup. I'll use the guitar for impersonating an acoustic, including fingerstyle (no kidding- 11's with a wound G). Thanks in advance.-Richie
