I've looked through the list a couple of times. Several of the songs/groups I never heard of ("Thirteen"/Big Star, "Summer Babe"/Pavement, "Search and Destroy"/Stoogies) and I want to check them out some time. I had never heard the Beatles song "Rain" which was on the list (love the Beatles but, after listing to it, not the song "Rain")...I lean toward late 60's/early 80's music...as mentioned not much 80's stuff...I liked The Cars, Devo, some Gary Numan ("Cars") but I can sort of see why the new wave music was passed over for being uninfluencial and temporary (do like the 80's U2, especially "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" and "New Years Day" and they (80's U2) got represented big on the list. Of the 60's songs I saw some of my faviorites were on the list ("For What its Worth"/Buffalo Springfield, "Strawberry Fields"/Beatles)...........two bands that didn't make the list (that I thought should have) were ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) and, even more so (maybe I missed them on the list somehow), the Moody Blues (they made the well-known "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Night's in White Satin" and a bunch of good, though not "hit", songs.
