500€ (aprox $585) to buy a pair of active monitors

Hi... topic name says almost all...
I'm going to buy a pair of studio monitors this christmas... have 500€ to spend on them, but I don't know which ones should I buy, and there is where I need your help... to choose them. I work on the hip-hop field... don't know if the music type differs on some monitors quality... but if yes, its on hip-hop

Someone has told me for me to go to a audio store that sells monitors and choose which ones sounded me better, but here in my town the only store that sells audio equipement doesn't have anything in stock... it has to be ordered first, so the only way that I have to choose a pair of good active monitors is by listening your advices :S

BTW: Someone in other forum already recomended me the Behringer Truth B2031A's, are they good? At least the price is acessible...

Not sure what the used market is like where you live but see if you can find a pair of used Event 20/20bas monitors which I have seen for less than $400 in the US. Great sounding monitors and a pal of mine was Dr. Dre's mixer for many years and that's what he was mixing on.

Hmmm, I don't think that exists a used audio material store here in Portugal... and the normal audio material stores here are rare :|
