I'd like to gather some opinions of these 2-channel pres with digital out.
I know that many of you say that it would be better to buy the converter and preamp separately. Yes, that may well be true, but I believe that at least some of these combo units are quite usable too. After all, I'm not a professional, making music is only a hobby for me, I'm not looking for perfection, I would be just happy to find a GOOD COMPROMISE. ;)

So here's my list, please add to it if something important is missing:

- ART DPS II
- MINDPRINT AN/DIpro
- Aphex 207 D
- DBX 386
- ART Digital MPA
- Joemeek twinQ

Well, the last one doesn't actually fit very well in this list being more than just a pre, but I add it here as I think it's quite intersting one.

I'd look past the DBX unless there are no better options. I had one but outgrew it quickly. Grainy sound. Sorry I can't help more...

Thanks, this is a good addition to the list. With the A/D converter option it seems to be in the same price range with the Joemeek TwinQ.
Does anybody have experience on both of these units? How would you compare them? The Focusrite seems to have quite ascetic compressor and EQ controls compared to Meek, but how about the sound quality? And conversion quality?
