ive started recording and it was going great, got all instruments down and a song is starting to take shape, then for no reason cubase just freezes and about 5mins later errors come up talking about buffers and C++ something, if u need the exact words ill post them, i tried increasing virtual...
hey, im using cubase LE and have several instruments going into it via an alexis mulitmix usb.
anyway to use effects such as a compressor. phasor and perhaps a drum programmer i hve to get software plugins. and i know there are many free ones online, ( i know this after looking at the thread...
i think its plugin software im looking for, currently im using cubase with direct injected guitar and keyboard. i was wondering if there are any free effects software packages? like for phasor/delay effects, and anything that will make my keyboard have more electro noises as the synth effects...
i wont have a special souncard but will it have the same effect putting the guitar into the mixer and then into the program with the plugin attached? is that the same process?

i will be recording 1 at a time, i dont mind doing it that way.
so the mixer is just to set levels and to allow the analogue inputs to be used digitally by the software. i see simple A to D conversions...
