    Flash Drive with Pro Tools?

Is it possible to use flash memory when recording a pro tools session as opposed to an external hd? 2GB drives are pretty cheap, and it seems as though the access times for the flash drive would be considerably faster than for a standard external hd. Reason Refill Royalty Question...

I've been using free refills found online in my Reason stuff for a while now, but I got to wondering - how do I know if refills are royalty free? Bypassing Pres on a Firewire 410

I am thinking about purchasing a Sytek MPX-4aii and running it into a M-Audio Firewire 410. The sytek only has xlr outs, however. Is there a way to bypass the pres on the 410 using XLRs? Should I just use some high quality XLR to 1/4" cables to patch the sytek into the line inputs on the 410...

    ProjectMix or Digi 002?

I'm looking to upgrade my mixer to either the m-audio projectmix or digi's 002 in the near future to run pro tools (m-powered or le, respectively). Any suggestions on which one? I also do a considerable amount of work in reason 3.0, and the bonus of being able to use the projectmix with reason...
