hey ... so i'm getting a custom paintjob on my guitar - and to pull it off i really need just a plain pickguard .. that is yellow.
I assumed this wouldn't be too hard - but i can't find a website ANYWHERE where i can buy pickguards in just regular colors. I mean - its a PRIMARY color...
didn't know where to put this.
so, my basement flooded a week or so ago, and i managed to get most of my gear out before it got trashed. BUT ... most of my instrument and XLR cables were laying on the floor and got a good two hours soaking before i ever noticed the flooding.
they've all aired...

yeah ... i've used cubase for a couple years now .... and i usually find other methods of timekeeping because i can NOT figure out how to turn down the volume on the tempo track????
its so freaking loud that it hurts in the headphones and even gets VERY picked up my mics on vocals and whatnot...
just thought i'd put this story out there, because we all sure as hell complain when its the other way around.
i purchased a firepod with a one year manufacturer's warranty - standard.
after about a year and three months, i lost ALL firewire connectivity. Period. I emailed their rep asking...
ok ... so i've lived on this forum for ... three years or so... quietly learning A LOT from you guys.
but i'm looking to build a PA system ... and i want to do it right - and know VERY little about live sound mechanics. is there an equivelent to THIS BBS that is geared towards live sound that...
might sound stupid... but oh well.
ok - i have cubase SE and i'm wondering if i can do this (i'm no expert here at anything i'm talking about)
from what i understand, there is this thing called "sidechaining" in which you can set up a certain track(s) to reduce in volume when a certain other...
i posted something else i recorded of a buddy of mine a few months back ... thought i'd ask something about this one from the same session.
originally i was unable to get seperate tracks for the vox and guitar (busted equipment - long story short i had to have them on the same input and...
Ok - i'm a novice, so bear with me (and my terminology probably) here.
I've noticed something lately with my mixes. When I'm monitoring on my monitoring set-up, the low end is nice and wide and everything, but not overpowering. When i pull up a track from a commercial CD on that set up, its...
impromtu acousticrecording
ok - so i'll tear it apart before anyone else does
the vocals have a bit too much reverb at most times - but i recorded the guitar and vocals at the same time onto one track because my firepod's firewire stopped working and i had to use it as a single preamp for both...
anybody else recently fall in love with these acoustic basses??????
i went into the store to buy some strings for my T-40 ...
and i walked out with a Club Custom.
it was love.
Hello. I'm completely new to MIDI, and i was hoping someone might be able to help me with the problem i've been having.
First of all, here is the set up i'm using:
I have a Roland TD3 V-drum kit, and is being run into my Powermac G4 through a delta 1010 interface, and record with Cubase LE...
Ok ... so .. this is my FIRST venture into MIDI at ALL. I just picked up an old Roland R-8M module, and my main goal is to have seperate tracks for each drum sound so i can have full control of mix, eq, ect.
I have my Roland TD-3SW's MIDI out plugged into the MIDI in of the R-8M. From the TD-3...
hey - i happened to pop into a local pawn shop today, and found a neat old bass. It says "telestar" on the headstock, and it is styled kind of like an epiphone casino-type bass. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with these guitars??? i picked it up because, if nothign else, it'll look good...
i've been using my firepod's pre's while i'm learning and such ... and i'm soon going to buy a "nice" outboard channel strip.
so, if i run the outs of the pre into one of the ins of the firepod ...
will it just bypass the pre if i turn it's specific channel all the way down on the firepod, or...
ok ... as i admitted recently, i've been a lurker around here for a few years. I've learned most of my limited knowledge from this website, to be honest ... and this is one of my first posts, and centainly my first time sharing anything ...
now .. this track has two areas that i'm needing input...
Hey everyone. I just bought a Furman Q-1312V 31-band EQ for basically the hell of it (to bump my order up to an amount to reach a promotional offer, actually, but whatever) and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them, or anything from furman that isn't power conditioner...
Ok .. i'm going to try reamping for the first time - mainly because i don't (at the moment) have a good room to mic a cab in. So .. here is my question..
i have a firepod (TRS output channel for each input), so for the channel to be REAMPED eventually, could I use one of the first two inputs...
ok, i have one of those quik lok modular desks with the 18-something space rack built in to the side. At the top of my rack, i have a furman m-8 power conditioner that the 6 things below it are all connected to. Now, everything in my rack has a front panel power switch - so that i can flip on my...
Ok, let me start by describing my current set-up:
I have a firepod running into a Powermac G4 (QS) 800 Mhz and 768 megs of RAM. I'm currently using the Cubase LE program that came with my firepod.
Now, i've been hobby recording for awhile, but i just now used my firepod for recording an entire...
