Well.. I do all the parts including vocals, and I guess the original concept was that my face wouldn't be seen at all... Like the person performing it is a mystery, instead of "ewww it's some middle age creepy guy!" :eek:

Wow I enjoyed that! Kind of somewhere between Cat Stevens and Jethro Tull... I would say the drums could come up, and bass, and guitars down, and a bit more stereo panning perhaps?

Bass seems like a simple thing, but I always struggle with it... Often in my mixes it's hard to tell what note is being played, and it sound like kind of undefined rumbling. I'm always messing with eq and compression on the bass, but could also be due to my not playing the bass correctly. :-)

I was trying to do the chromatic kind of "walking bass" or something... maybe need to redo it. Thanks!

I listened to the Bluesbreakers with Clapton album soon after I started playing guitar, and this track called Hideaway especially just blew me away! I never really learned how to play it however, so now I kind of did, and recorded it. It's not really an artistic thing where I reinterpret it and...

I was going more for the 70s sound, not 80's as in Miami Vice.. Like when all those space disco kind of albums came out after Star Wars was popular around 77/78.. Though I guess the lead guitar is more hair-metal 80s.. :-) Maybe I'll do another mix with louder kick and see how it sounds..
