Well, yeah... parents could be a problem, but there'd definately be big time screening before any bands actually get on. Honestly, I wasn't wanting the label to be a really big thing... just a bit of a footstool to get into the industry. Like... we'd build up our credit as having very decent...
Yeah... I understand about the whole high school feelings thing... but that happens with other bands, only on a bigger scale... your bassist is on heroine and dies... your drummer has a kid with your singer's wife. The thing is that we wouldn't just take in any high school bands. We'd be...
Hey,
I was wondering if there are any record labels specializing in High School bands. My friend and I just got outta high school and we are realizing how many options opened for us just by leaving the ol HS. We were both in incredible high school bands that both got record offers only after...
Hey!
I just got a Cad E-200 and I need a shockmount for it. It's 2 3/8" in diameter, so if anyone knows of a good shockmount that would fit it, that would be awesome. I can't find any ZM-1's for sale under $100 and, to me, that's a bit of a hefty tag on a shockmount. Thanks!

Does it just mean make? Dumb question, I know, it's just been getting under my skin whenever I see stuff with MKII and MKIII. Why don't I ever see MKIV or above? Why no MKI? Thanks!

Hey,
I'm kinda new to recording, but I think I've got a pretty decent start. I bought a Korg D16 to record on and now I have the following mics:
Oktava MC012 (2)
CAD E-200 (1)
SM-58 (2)
AKG C1000(I should prolly sell these. I don't use them) (2)
I use a Mackie VLZ mixer to feed the phantom...
Hey,
I would've done a search, but "B3" is too small to look for and Studio Projects is too vague.
What do you guys think of the B3 as a vocal mic? I'm looking at that, an AT-3035, a CAD E-200, and an MXL V67. I just need a good low price vocal mic. If it can also pump out a little bass...
look for both in the same sentence. I'd typically agree that they are both the same, but to me the term "matched" means a bit more. Stereo just means that they're two mics. They could sound very very different and they could still call it stereo. With the term matched, you at least know...
I know... no matter what, I'm gonna be getting them. I already sent out the money. I was just wondering whether I could've gotten them for cheaper. I know you can get them at GC, but the GC over here won't let me test them :(. Also, they won't accept returned mics :(. Also... they are all B...
Hey,
I'm just trying to figure out if I got a good deal. I got a pair of MK012's on eBay last night. The final price was $182.50 plus shipping. I e-mailled the guy prior to bidding asking whether they were matched or not. He said they weren't factory matched, but "matched by the store" and...
HAIL THE GREAT THIRST!!!
He has tought us all a valuable lesson! That is: Buy the big flashy lights and make it big workin with P-Diddy!
Here's my advice to you. You want money, get into real estate. You want a job in the recording arts, learn some basics and MEET people. GET CONNECTIONS...
Hey,
I've been a musician for ages, but have started getting into the recording business for the last two years. I was planning on going to Full Sail, but recently realized it's a big waste of money. So, here I am about to graduate with $26,000 or so. I've been reccommended going to SAE or...
Oh... I've used the search function. Many a time. I went through about 1-12 of the 1,094,810,985,315 pages that came up and couldn't find a good comparison of these mics. I figured I needed some answers quick... and you guys seem pretty pro. Merry Xmas to yas! I think it's down to the 603's...
Hey,
I'm new to this forum... I used to use Harmony Central(no flames, please), but a friend reccommended this one and from the looks of it, it has some better input. I just bought an AT3035 and I need some drum overheads to compliment it. I am looking at the following:
Oktava MK-012's
MXL...
