    Heads up hoes down

Hope this is the right place... Check out a couple super old tracks on the page. Quality is kinda shitty, apologies: www.myspace.com/kno1ills. Me and my hommie are working on the official album, so if you happen to like the music, keep an eye out for the drop, hopefully late this year.

    How would I treat this.....

...if I were putting up absorption panels? ^It's not really a corner, should I forget about it? ^This one is a corner, but it has the rail and front cover for curtains. Treat it like a regular corner? ^Should I hang absorbers on the bars or on the walls behind the bars or would they...

    Acoustic priority

I'm building panels right now, but unfortunately i'm progressively making them because I'm on a budget. Just wondering what areas would you guys recommend treating first when treating a room? ie: corners first, initial reflection points second, ceiling third etc... The whole room will...

Fast track ultra, and Pro Tools

Are you using thru a USB hub? Try other USB ports. Did the Fast Track come with a CD for installing a driver for the equipment? Try restarting with the Fast Track plugged in.

    Mac/Garageband Anyone?

M-Audio makes interfaces compatable with the m-powered version of protools. I've messed with garage band a bit, just to try it out. Very fun, but I'm very partial to my mpc.

    MPC2000xl vs. MPC 2500

Anyone ever mess with both? Drawbacks of each? Benefits of each? Your pick?

    Vocals drowned out

I make hip hop music and sometimes I have a problem with the sample and the vocals competing with each other. Like the frequencies are very similar and at the same level so they have a drowned out sound.<I think thats whats happening. Any suggestions? I'm not that good at mixing, but have no...

    Material for back of panel???

How important is it for the material on the back of the fiberglass board to be similar to the front? I'm trying to save some money where ever I can and was considering using that weed prevention gardening cloth for the back of the board. But it's not as breathable as burlap. Would this cause...

    Panels too thin?

Would 2" panels work at all for bass traps? Not worth it? I just wanted to get all the frames built and hung and then when I get more cash, get the other half of the 703 boards and slide them in for the bass traps.

    Panels too thin?

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely consider putting 2" panels at the 1st reflection points.
