Recieved Joly modded MXL V63M
I received my Joly Modified MXL V63M which is an amazing mic. I did some recording with it and wanted to give you an opportunity to hear how good it is. I re-recorded a song I wrote called "Truth is a Lady" and the results are nothing short of amazing compared...
I have done a comparison of these three mics. The Bonnell Mic is at the beginning. I just got the pair today. I compared them to the AKG Perception 170 pair and then I am throwing in the Joly Ribbon Mic which he modifed the MXL R40. The only production done on these mics is I normalized them...
OK so I did it. I finally bought a modded mic from Michael Joly. I have an MXL R141 ribbon mic that I like but you cant turn it up all the way because of hiss (sibilance) and noise. It does a decent job. So I bought the modded R40 thinking it was already done and I wouldn't have to wait for...
I recently bought a pair or used MXL 603S mics and paid the money for an upgrade of both. Worked on one but not on the other. The one it worked on did show improvement. Since I was down to one mic I decided to buy at least one second mic and did some research and found the AKG Perception 170...
Just thought I would let everyone know about this. If I am breaking any rules my apologies. I bought two of these yesterday. They didn't ring up at that price but the matched their on line price.
Anyone know where I can get additional midi instruments for Mixcraft 5? I don't want to break the bank. I did find some from Native Instruments for $50. Everything else costs $100's of dollars.
I recently bought a Midi Controller. Alesis Q-25. I also have Mixcraft 5. I was blown away by all the virtual instruments I can now put on my tracks. I can't play piano for a lick but it doesn't matter. You can put in drums, brass, guitars, cymbals, flutes, orchestra and what not very...
I bought this recently and it has worked quite well. I am happy with the result. I notice some people complain of a buzz or crackle. I can get that if I turn it all they way up but just turn it down a smidge and it's no problem. I'm really happy with the way it is working.
Is there any software out there that would allow you to take a previously recorded piece and convert it to a different instrument?
What I would like to do is find some thing where I could play a piece on a guitar and then convert it electronically to another instrument.
Anyone heard of such a...
After many years trying to find something that would work for me and after having been nearly fitted with a straight jacket, I have found recording software that is actually easy to use. That is Mixcraft 5.
I have tried Audacity but unfortunately I don't have a degree in sound recording. I have...
