I was really tired last night and couldn't for the life of me make an mp3 from a .wav. Could someone give me a quick tutorial? (SX2) One more thing, I have a MOTU 2408 MkIII and every time I open up SX I have to reset the MOTU to the 424 PCI card. Is that normal?

I would like to use my 428 as a interface with my new motu2408 MKIII. I'm running SX-2 windozeXP. Is this possible? I'm new to the cubase too. I've just been doing a lot of tracking and mixing down on the "real" console, but it's time to get with the times.

I just transfered a DAT to a Tascam CDRW700. It all seemed to go fine but when I went to copy the disc on my PC, the drive doesn't see a disc. Can I copy them on my PC or not?

I recorded a duet to Sony DAT from a board tape out. Then I re-recorded it into my PC via SPDIF. I thought all went well and ran it through Wavelab with a little compression and reverb. I ripped it to a CD and delivered it only to have the musicians tell me that it was a couple notes too low...
