I made some improvements on my desk. I added another BCF2000 and made the desk wider. Now I have more legroom and was able to add a mouse pad (cardboard for now) to the keyboard tray. 2 BCF2000's pretty much do the same thing as one, but it looks cooler and I won't have to change between banks all the time.

Very inspiring! Where did you find the denim ulratouch stuff? Did you have to order it, or can you find it in most hardware stores?

Thanks! I got it at Menards, but I'm sure you could order it online if you don't have one near you.

very nice dude! only thing is, your monitors seem a bit low? aren't the woofers meant to be in line with your ears? But very great build, lovely idea with the vocal booth!

I'm using Yamaha HS80Ms now, which are taller. But I've always though it was the tweeters that should be level with your ears, not the woofers. Its harder for your ears to pinpoint the location of low frequency sound, so the level of the woofers isn't as important. It's the same reason you can have a single subwoofer off to the side, but it sounds like it's centered in the room.

you may be right, I read what I said from the section in the manual for my monitors on positioning them, I suppose it can vary and might not make much of a difference

wow, just looked at the pictures on your website, they are so nice!!

The "acoustic axis" of the speakers is what needs to be ear-height. With some monitors, it is the tweeter level, and with others, the woofer. On some it is also halfway between the tweeters and the woofers. Certainly depends per monitor. As usual, check with your manufacturer..short distances can still make large differences!

In that case because I read it in my monitors' manual I presume that it is talking about those monitors only

Nice looking place, Jeremy!

Are you still using the hinged panels? I didn't see them in the pictures on your website.

Thanks man. I'm not using the hinged panels right now. I keep moving the studio around. Right now I'm using a rented space and looking into building a small studio building in our back yard.
