I am thinking on buying a very good stereo or 2xmono 31 band graphic eq for my live performances based on sound design...I want to control accurately my pads, drones, textures, etc...
Some ideas:

Klark Teknik | DN370

Or

BSS AudioFCS-960

Also want to know if the cheaper models like DN360 and BSS Opal worth.

Any other recommendations or experiences you had with this equipment?

Thanks

It would be hard to go wrong with either Klark Teknik or BSS. I'd just match the features to my needs. Since I have to lift anything I use I tend to value small size and light weight more than people who use gear they don't have to lift.

Isn't getting old fun!

Seems like a lot of sliders for a stage... I can understand wanting total control - but in a live setting I think i would want less - of course that is irrelevant since I don't play live

Beats the alternative.

Since they are fixed frequency filters the more you have the less of the spectrum you have to disturb to correct something. Parametric is more precise but less intuitive. When things start to feedback you don't have time to set a parametric, you only have time to think "that sounds like 3k" and grab a slider. Heck, you can grab three sliders at once and then carefully try putting them back up one by one.

Now that it came up I wonder if a parametric eq would be a better choice for the OP's stated purpose.
