As a Yamaharley rider I lean towards a combo of analogue and digital.
I also had all my cable plug ends changed from 9mms to 45s.
I'll probably go as far as wearing a single ear plug so I can listen like Brian.

I've used outboard gear (including the LA2A) and also plugins. It doesn't matter what you use. Good plugins today are gonna give you good results if you are using them correctly. The analog days are turning into the past. More and more people are turning toward digital and starting to use plugins on a regular basis. If you think you can get a good sound with outboard gear then you should know how to get a good sound with a plugin as well. If not, there's no reason to waste all that money for outboard gear because it's not automatically gonna do wonders for whatever you put it on.
